Single malt from Tamnavulin, distilled back in 1991 and left to age in a single refill hogshead for 27 years. Following that lengthy rest, the whisky was bottled by Hunter Laing First Editions series, with an outturn of only 255 bottles.
Tasting Notes:
Nose: Milky tea, cinnamon buns, a touch of dried citrus peels, peppercorn.
Palate: More orange here, though with a balancing note of oaky dryness. Rich honey throughout.
Finish: Nutmeg and five-spice, vanilla pod, lemongrass.
