A blended rum from the Plantation range, using rums from Guatemala & Bélize, two neighbouring countries in Central America. Following its initial maturation, it's taken to France to be finished in ex-Cognac casks, resulting in very intriguing additions to its rich flavour profile...
Tasting Notes :
Appearance : golden yellow
Nose: The initial aroma is of orange with a hint of pineapple and faint tobacco. There is a dominating sweetness with additional aromas of fresh honey and vanilla with some subtle wood underneath.
Palate : the orange notes continue in the profile of this rum, joined with heavier woody flavours alongside some nutty dark chocolate. There is a hint of vanilla in the background, too and a hint of spice, notably nutmeg.
Finish : Long, tender and soft.
