Scarabus is a peaty Single Malt from the Isle of Islay bottled by independent bottler Hunter Laing. The company is run by Stewart Laing and his two sons.
Scarabus means "rocky place" in Old Norse (Scandinavian language) referring to a mystical area of Islay.
This Single Malt is bottled in its natural colour and non chill-filtered.
Tasting Notes :
Appearance: gold
Nose: Islay peat smoke and sea salt.
Palate: warming leather notes, stewed rhubarb and a wonderful vanilla sweetness
Finish: leading to a rich lingering finish.
