The rum is charcoal filtered and matured in a solera system, before it's finished in casks which previously held Tempranillo wine. The tropical notes from the rum work wonderfully with the spicier notes from the wine cask, with just 8,000 bottles released.
Tasting Notes :
Appearance : clear, pale salmon pink
Nose: the aromas it gives off denote its origin in red wine barrels, with touches of vanilla, yeast and tropical fruits such as pineapple and banana.
Palate: it is pleasant on the palate, with medium to full body and notes of pineapple, banana, lime, red fruits and tannins. It also has light touches of vanilla, clove, cinnamon and wood.
Finish: The finish leaves a pleasant aftertaste of aged red and dark rum.
