Zaka Rum Trinidad 7 years old is a tribute to the people of the land. These cane and rum makers operate under the benevolence of Zaka, the voodoo god of the peasantry.
This molasses rum is a blend of column distillates aged between 7 and 10 years in ex-bourbon barrels.
Tasting Notes :
Appearance : Amber
Nose: The lightnose of this rum skims the surface of a well-dried and well-roasted oak barrel, from which some vanilla wisps still escape. These aromas call for other sweet, gourmet notes, such as caramel and spiced molasses.
Palate: the palate is divided between a vanilla sweetness and slightly more pungent spices. The pepper manages to make a place for itself in a rather round atmosphere. It occupies the middle of the mouth with other spices that swarm and agitate on the tongue.
Finish: The finish offers a snapshot of soft oak, then the rum quietly fades.
Land: Trinidad
Distillery : Zaka
Alcohol by volume : 42%
