La Maison du Rhum Guatemala Botran batch #5 is a rum that has been distilled in column from cane honey. It is a cane juice cooked halfway between pure juice and molasses.

The aging was done according to the solera principle: young rums are blended with older ones during the entire aging process. The types of casks used are old bourbon casks, re-toasted bourbon casks, and sherry casks.

Tasting Notes : 

Nose: notes of vanilla, coconut, oak and honey.

Palate: intense with notes of vanilla and honey.

Finish: long with lingering notes of vanilla, oak and a hint of caramel.
