Don Papa Gayuma is made from 100% sugar cane molasses from Negros Island and distilled and aged in the unique volcanic climate at the foothills of Mount Kanlaon.
It matures in former American oak bourbon casks and is then finished in former Whisky casks from the Scottish island.
Tasting Notes :
Appearance: dark amber
Nose: strong and rich with ripe oak, sweetly scented tobacco leaves, a hint of exotic incense and the fine smoke of the embers of a campfire - in the background milk chocolate and ripe vanilla pods
Palate: Intensely warming and complex with sweet herbal smoke - fresh notes of mint, menthol and Earl Gray follow, underscored by rich dark chocolate, spiced blood oranges, hints of harmoniously balanced dried cinnamon and a creamy note of vanilla butterscotch
