Het Huis :Château Roubine ligt in het hart van de Var, tussen Lorgues en Draguignan. Het is een van de oudste wijngaarden in Frankrijk! In 1953 krijgt Château Roubine van het ministerie van Landbouw de status Cru Classé.

De naam ‘Roubine’ komt van het Provençaalse woord  ‘stroming’, wat verwijst naar de natuurlijke drainage van de wijngaard.  Samen met zijn ideale oriëntatie oost / west  en zijn klei en kalksteen bodem zijn deze aspecten van groot belang voor de productie van wijnen van hoge kwaliteit. De huidige eigenaresse, Valérie Rouselle, hecht grote waarde aan milieuvriendelijke methodes, reden waarom het Château in 2008 het certificaat  ‘Agriculture Raisonnée’ werd toegekend.

 La vie en Rose is te drinken als aperitief of samen met mediterrane (vis)gerechten zoals bijvoorbeeld Dorade, Brasem, Bourride of Bouillabaisse.

Uiterlijk: Licht goud met zeer fijne belletjes

Neus: Appels, kweeperen, boter, grapefruit, brioche

Smaak: Zeer frisse aanzet, breed en zeer evenwichtig, minerale afdronk

Het Huis: Thierry Niziolek, uit de Champagne, heeft een prachtig perceel van 1,3 hectare gevonden op de flanken van de Kemmelberg. De 9.000 wijnstokken per hectare zijn aangeplant op zandige kleigrond met ijzerslak. De mono-cépage Pinot Noir wordt geteeld met het grootste respect voor de natuur. De oogst wordt handmatig uitgevoerd in kleine kratten om de druiven zoveel mogelijk te bewaren.

Don Papa rum is an exceptional rum from the Philippines. This country is one of the first producers of sugar cane, the basic ingredient of rum. The distillery is located on the island of Negros, the historic sugar capital of the Philippines, which produces some of the best sugar cane in the world and it is this cane that is distilled to produce Don Papa rum. The rum is aged in oak barrels for a minimum of 7 years at the foot of Mount Kanlaon, a region that enjoys an exceptional climate for aging.

Tasting Notes : 

Appearance: deep gold with a hint of copper

Nose: very fruity, with vanilla notes and yellow fruits

Palate : Very greedy with a beautiful harmony between the sweetness of candied fruits, the bitterness of citrus fruits, the velvetiness of vanilla and sweet spices

Finish : Nice length and rich persistence
