Inspired by the masked fiesta and fantasy-filled Masskara Festival, Don Papa Masskara is pot-distilled and infused with calamansi to offer distinctive citrus notes, honey to sweeten the senses, and siling labuyo for a touch of heat and spice.

Tasting Notes : 

Appearance: Light amber

Nose: Rich, honeyed nose with a hint of fresh citrus.

Palate: Smooth and fruity with delicately interwoven flavours of honey, candied fruits, and deliciously sweet citrus.

Finish: Long and rich, with a delightful siling labuyo chilli sting at the very end.

A rather stylish gin all the way from German, named after Knut Hansen - a sailor who seemingly had fine facial hair, a selection of tattoos and the most striking baby-blue eyes you've ever seen. The gin itself is made using a selection of 14 botanicals, notably apple, basil and cucumber.

Tasting Notes :

Nice, carefully balanced nuances of cucumber, basil and citrus fruits, accompanied by juniper berries and fresh apples.

Proefnotitie:

Uiterlijk: Lichtgouden kleur. 

Neus: bloemen met wit fruit (perzik) en vanille

Smaak: De aanzet is fris en harmonieus. De subtiele houttonen zorgen voor een goede balans. De afdronk is lang.

Het Huis: Dit heel oude en gekende huis uit Beaune, kon mij vroeger niet echt bekoren , maar sinds de overname door Bollinger in 1999 ( Champagne) is de kwaliteit hier helemaal terug. Beter nog reeds in het mooie jaar 2005 waren de wijnen van Chanson echte toppers. Er werden dan ook kosten nog moeite gespaard om dit huis terug op de kwalitatieve hoogste trap te plaatsen. Een volledig nieuwe “cuverie” werd ingebouwd en onder de leiding van Jean-Pierre Confuron werden de beste vinificatietechnieken toegepast. Ook in de aankoop van wijnen worden de selecties heel streng en rigoureus toegepast. Dit alles zorgt ervoor dat de internationale pers de laatste 10 jaar dit huis opnieuw tot de absolute top van de Bourgogne erkent. De kwaliteit van de Beaune-wijnen en deze van Pernand-Vergelesses behoren tot de absolute top. Ook de witte wijnen van dit huis komen stilaan in de buurt van de absolute perfectie.
