Hazelburn 7 Years Old Oloroso Cask Matured (2018/2026 Release) is a limited single malt Scotch whisky from Campbeltown, representing the unpeated and triple-distilled style of the Springbank distillery. Fully matured for seven years entirely in 100% Oloroso sherry casks, this expression provides a rich, complex, and full-bodied contrast to the brand's bourbon-matured flagship expressions.

Tasting Notes:

The nose opens with rich, inviting aromas of maraschino cherries, fudge, treacle, dates, and brandy butter. On the palate, it delivers a sweet and warmly spiced profile of brown sugar, ginger, raisins, and red currant jelly. The finish is long and satisfying, featuring notes of sweet sticky toffee pudding, black currants, herbs, and tarragon.

The Springbank Distillery, situated in Campbeltown, Scotland, was founded in 1828 by Archibald Mitchell and remains one of the oldest independently family-owned distilleries in Scotland, still operated by his descendants through J. & A. Mitchell & Co. Springbank is uniquely self-sufficient and traditional, handling 100% of the whisky-making process on-site, from traditional floor maltings and mashing in a century-old cast-iron mash tun to bottling without chill-filtration or added coloring. The distillery is renowned for producing three distinct single malt styles by altering its foundational production methods: the signature lightly peated and 2.5-times distilled Springbank, the heavily peated and double-distilled Longrow, and the unpeated, strictly triple-distilled Hazelburn. Hazelburn specifically takes its name from a legendary, long-lost neighboring Campbeltown distillery, reviving its memory through a light, complex, and unpeated spirit profile crafted across all three of Springbank's copper pot stills.
