Het Huis : Het huis is opgericht in 1912 door Edouard Langlois en Jeanne Chateau. Sinds 1973 is het huis in handen van Maison Bollinger, wat heeft bijgedragen aan de snelle groei van Domaine Langlois Chateau.

In 2007 kon het bedrijf zijn historische site in St-Hilaire St-Florent, uitkijkend op de Loire, serieus uitbreiden om de volledige productie ( van persen tot administratie ) te grenzen aan de wijngaarden. Dit zorgde ervoor dat alles van daaruit gecoördineerd en gecontroleerd kon worden.

Ze bezitten nu wijngaarden in de appelaties Saumur, Saumur-Champigny en Sancerre.

Naast de productie van haar fijne bubbels, onder de benaming van ‘ Cremant de Loire’, poduceert dit huis ook fantastische stille wijnen.

 Smaakt uitstekend bij grillades van wit- en rood vlees, delicate wildgerechten, en zachte kaassoorten.

For the ninth release, Drouin turned to Scotland, the historic home of single malts, and in particular to the Arran distillery, with which a relationship of friendship and barrel exchanges has existed for 20 years.

A 13-year-old calvados from the Pays d'Auge was chosen for the production of this release, which was placed for 6 months in 6 old French oak barrels that had previously contained Arran whiskey.

Tasting Notes :

Nose: delicate calvados on the nose, with nuances of apple, malt, apricot and pear

Palate: remarkably refined, with a perfect balance between roundness and acidity.

Finish: notes of hazelnut and grains
