Matusalem Gran Reserva 23-year rum is the premium version of the Matusalem company's rum, aged an average of 23 years and distilled from molasses using the traditional solera process.

Tasting Notes :

Appearance : golden, red and amber tones

Nose: Fresh honey and golden syrup. Crunchy almonds. Cedar wood.

Palate: Creamy and rich, with plenty of fruit joining the sweet, sugary notes

Finish: Spiced and lasting on the finish.

Land: Dominican Republic

A Panamanian rum aged in a solera system and bottled by Italy's Rum Nation. Very rich and flavoursome - should pair very well with dark chocolate.

Tasting Notes :

Appearance : Light chestnut honey.

Nose: Delicate, fresh, light, sweet and fruity.

Palate: Light bodied but slightly unctuous. The sugarcane sweetness dominates without ever being cloying. Acacia honey, sun-dried raisins, milk chocolate. A hint of orange and apricot.

Finish: Clean, soft, with a never tiresome sweetness.

Land: Panama

A Solera-matured Guatemalan rum from the Botran range. The Solera which this treat aged in was comprised of white oak and American whiskey casks which had previously been home to Port and Sherry.

Tasting Notes :

Appearance : amber

Nose: Strong coffee with a dusting of brown sugar sitting on the top and mounds of dried fruit.

Palate: Soft fruit cake, with develop barrel spices and vanilla pod.

Finish: Lingering diced raisin and apricot.
