This exceptional drink was created by Johnny Neill, a direct descendant of a long line of distillers, whose heritage stretches back as far as the Baobab trees found in Africa today. Inspired by his family’s sense of adventure, Johnny strove to create his own signature blend of Gin: a tribute to his English distilling heritage, and a homage to the enigmatic beauty of his wife’s African homeland. The result is Whitley Neill Handcrafted dry Gin; a balanced, distinctive Gin that blends classic Gin botanicals with exotic African botanicals to create a liquid with a flavour as unique as its heritage.

 Tasting Notes :

Appearance: clear

Nose: The nose is both citrus-sweet and peppery, with a distinctive floral aroma. Rich notes of juniper and citrus, pot pourri and exotic spices.

Palate: Whitley Neill Gin is slightly softer and much smoother than traditional Gins. 

Finish: The finish is a long one, with a subtle fade of herbs, cocoa and candied lemon peels

Œil : couleur rouge rubis, avec une bonne consistance

Nez : Au nez, il s'ouvre sur une forte composante fruitée de mûre, de myrtille et de cerise noire. Suivie par de douces notes de sucre et de clous de girofle épicés et de muscade.

Bouche : La texture tannique est dense, mais pas rugueuse. En bouche il est chaud et doux, d'une belle persistance et avec une correspondance goût-olfactive remarquable.

Le domaine: Depuis plus de 700 ans, le nom de Frescobaldi est associé en Toscane à l'art, à la culture et, bien entendu, à la viticulture.

L'établissement, dont le siège est à Florence, est actuellement dans les mains de Dino, Vittorio, Maria, Ferdinando et Leonardo Frescobaldi, et de Bona Marchi, l'épouse de Vittorio.

Les divers domaines de la famille Frescobaldi se trouvent surtout en Toscane et ont pour principale caractéristique d'être presque tous surmontés par un imposant château fort.

Actuellement, c'est le Marquis Lamberto Frescobaldi qui est responsable de la culture des 1'200 hectares de vignoble de l'exploitation. Il perpétue ainsi une tradition familiale ancestrale et continue de créer des vins de Toscane élégants et de bonne garde.

Christian Drouin, père, began distilling Calvados in 1960 after purchasing a farmhouse and surrounding orchards, only to find little demand for his apples. Luckily a family friend with his portable still came to the rescue. The mobile stills built in 1947 are still in use at the Drouin estate, where they found their permanent home. The VSOP bottling is a blend of eaux-de-vie that have aged between five and twelve years

Tasting Notes :

Nose: Fruit, flower and spice blend harmoniously on the nose.

Palate: A good balance of apple-flavoured younger brandies and smoky, spicy aromas, full bodied flavour and lingering taste of older components.

Finish: Long on the palate while remaining light.
