Contrabando 5 year old Rum, named after the days when rum was exported illegally from the Dominican Republic to Western Europe. It is a hand-crafted and authentic dark rum made from the purest sugar cane.

Tasting Notes :

Appearance : dark amber

Nose: sweet vanilla, fresh coconut and tropical fruit aromas.

Palate: perfect blend of toasted and balsamic flavours provided by oak barrel ageing.

Finish: well balanced

A brilliant dark rum for mixing, produced in Bermuda since 1806. The name comes from the black wax originally used to seal the bottles.

Produced using molasses distillate from both pot stills (typically a heavier style) and column stills (typically lighter), this is a rum of superb balance.

Tasting Notes :

Appearance : dark amber with red reflections

Nose: Sweet, dark, cooked fruits. Fruitcake, spice, herbal.

Palate: Balanced with thick, sweet spices, stewed fruits.

Finish: Spiced, crisp, tingling.

This rum has been aged for 15 years in recharred former Bourbon barrels, creating a delectable spirit of superb complexity and richness.

Tasting Notes :

Appearance : amber

Nose: aromas of overripe banans, cigar smoke, citrus rind, almonds and toffee.

Palate: quite thick and buttery, coating the mouth well, whilst offering warming oaky flavours of vanilla, toffee and caramel.

Finish: medium in length, with milk chocolate and espresso
