Kilchoman Sanaig comes from a blend of 50% bourbon casks and 50% sherry casks. A real tribute to the Isle of Islay, Sanaig is also the name of a rocky inlet not far from the Kilchoman distillery

Tasting Notes:

Appearance: Beech wood.

Nose: Rich. Fruit compote, notes of caramel and vanilla. 

Palate: Toffee, peat smoke and citrus with a lingering sweetness. 

Finish: A good balance of smoky and fruity flavours with rich undertones.

The first expression from the new Glen Garioch range, ‘1797 Founder’s Reserve’ pays tribute to the Manson brothers, the founding fathers of the distillery.

Tasting Notes:

Appearance: deep gold.

Nose: lively, marked by citrus fruit, lemon and orange. Touch of pear and honey. An abundance of malted barley. Caramel and charred oak. Anise

Palate: mellow and expressive. Oak undertones, rich aromas of vanilla and caramel. Notes of walnuts and milky hazelnut.

Finish: persistent notes of oak but no bitterness.

Le domaine: Le Domaine Philippe Gilbert est un domaine familial installé au cœur de l’AOC Menetou-Salon. Les vins de la propriété sont le reflet de la plus juste expression des terroirs argilo-calcaires de l’appellation.

Mise en place en 2006, sur l’ensemble des 28 hectares de la propriété, les méthodes préconisées par l’agriculture bio-dynamique nous ont permis d’envisager la vigne avec un regard neuf. Pour nous, la bio-dynamie n’est pas une fin en soi. C’est une source d’inspiration et un cadre qui nous permet de nous rapprocher encore de notre finalité : la production de vins qui reflètent généreusement les terroirs riches et vivants de notre appellation.
