Tasting Notes :

Appearance : pale yellow

Nose: A first complex nose dominated by scenes of blood orange, honey and tobacco. After aeration notions of gingerbread, lime and Ginger appear which leave a powerful elegance. 

Palate: it is particularly soft and delicately sweet. The primary flavors of sugar cane happily married flavors of orange blossom and black pepper.

Finish: Long and delicious tropical accents.

XM 12yo is a very special dark golden Guyanese sipping rum from Banks DIH, originally introduced for the Millenium.

Tasting Notes :

Appearance : dark gold

Nose: Full and intense: immediately obvious that this is quite serious stuff.  Big, creamy oak vanilla, some toasty notes, honeycomb, raisins, gingersnaps and dry wood.

Palate: Big hit of varnished oak, like church pews.  Then aged orange liqueur, treacle tart, cheesecake base, hints of tinned mango, pecan pie, dark chocolate shavings and milky coffee.

Finish: Very, very long, with the oak persisting amid pecan pie, vanilla ice cream, candied orange peel, chocolate liqueur, mocha and raisins.
